Zach Curtis brings a strong combination of entrepreneurial experience, technical expertise, and project management leadership to help expand the Viking鈥檚 Austin office. He began his career as a Civil Engineer in Austin where he quickly started and sold his own company, Curtis Environmental Engineering, giving him firsthand experience as a business owner and a practical understanding of the challenges involved in building and operating a professional services firm. Zach鈥檚 appreciation for the personal considerations owners face when preparing for a sale is further informed by having grown up around his parents鈥� purchase, operation, and sale of a closely held business.
Most recently, Zach spent six years as a Senior Project Manager at the Presidio Trust, a federal agency in San Francisco, where he managed over $200 million in design, construction, and planning of complex utility infrastructure work. His work involved coordinating multi-disciplinary teams, navigating federal and California regulations, and overseeing rigorous financial and contractual controls. Zach applies this project management expertise directly to M&A execution, bringing a structured, detail-oriented approach that keeps transactions organized, anticipates challenges, and maintains momentum through closing.
Zach is a licensed Professional Engineer (PE) in Texas and California and holds a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from Montana State University, with additional studies at Louisiana State University.
