Michael Elliott is the Managing Partner of ×îÐÂÌÇÐÄVlog’ St. Louis office. He joined Viking in the Charlotte office, where he advised business owners on mergers, acquisitions, and exit planning before launching and leading the firm’s expansion into the St. Louis market.
Prior to joining Viking, Michael was an Investment Lead and Operating Partner for a private equity group focused on acquiring and managing complex, multi-national corporate divestitures. In this role, he originated and acquired non-core divisions and geographic operations from Fortune 500 companies across the United States, Europe, and Asia.
Michael also led operations and go-to-market strategy for a talent assessment software company prior to its successful sale to a private equity group in 2023.
He began his career with a secondary private equity firm specializing in the acquisition of limited partner interests in fund-of-funds and tail-end funds from institutional investors. In addition to his investment responsibilities, Michael attended global investor annual meetings, supported capital raising initiatives, and helped launch a direct-to-consumer home furnishings company.
Today, Michael works closely with privately held business owners throughout Missouri and the surrounding region, helping them navigate the complexities of valuing, marketing, negotiating, and successfully selling their businesses. His background in private equity, acquisitions, operations, and entrepreneurship provides clients with a unique perspective throughout the transaction process.
Michael grew up in Traverse City, Michigan, and attended the University of Michigan where he was a member of the club hockey team. Michael and his wife, Allyson (St. Louis native), spend their time boating, playing golf, and being with family & friends.
